What We Do

What Makes Food not Just a meal but an event? Herbs that not only taste good but smell wonderful and make your mouth water before the first bite. And by having all natural herbs grown organically. We use our own Cosmic Compost that we cultivate using leaves in a fully organic method, so the colors are brighter, the scents are intoxicating, and the flavors are richer than anything else you’ve ever tasted.

We are committed to organic methods, and we are all about recycling, reusing, and repurposing whenever possible. You’ll find planters on the farm made from old pallets, a child’s crib donated from a family friend repainted and repurposed as a display for drying herbs, and candles with recycled containers. Basically, if we can find a way to use what we have, that’s what we do. In addition, we sell all of our dried herbs and candles in high quality, yet funky containers that you’ll love and want to keep. We even sell refills for them so we can do our part to cut down on waste.

We grow all of our herbs, then dry them to create our signature blends, along with individual herbs, and sell them directly to you through our website and at our Farm Market.

We also make numerous herb tea blends – unique combinations you’ve never tasted before. Kristal Richardson, Elizabeth’s sister, also happens to be a naturopathic doctor, and she helped us put together blends that have major health benefits. You’ll find an immune boosting tea that is both delicious and good for you, among many other blends we are proud of.

We can’t get enough of these teas ourselves, whether they are served piping hot in the winter or as refreshing iced tea in the summer. I’m sure you’ll feel the same way once you give them a try!

And do you love soy wax candles? Come on, who doesn’t? We also make them with essential oils, primarily herbal essential oils, with scent combos unlike any you’ll find elsewhere.

We also make our own wine, but we don’t sell it. We do, however, love introducing our many varieties of wine as samples when you come to the farm. Just ask what Roland has available - it could be peach, watermelon, or apple, in addition to grapes - and we will be happy to arrange an impromptu tasting. We are experimenting with creating new vinegars and juices, but our grapes also provide the many vines that we use in wreaths for our Farm Market.

So why do we do what we do? And what sets us apart? Why buy our herbs?

First of all, we have a passion for what we do. And we have a lot of fun doing it. When you taste our herbs, you’ll taste the difference with our full-flavor, all natural spices. They kind of speak for themselves.

What sets us apart? On top of the fact we’re pretty cool (at least in our own minds) – check out our blog to learn all about our life on the farm and the rich history of how we’ve grown our business. We love creating unique blends unlike anyone else’s, whether they are individual herbs - like basil,
